Foundry

For my BFA thesis in Industrial Design, I explored accessible desktop-sized polymer powder bed 3D printers and the user experience of bringing industrial technology to a consumer market. This was a unique opportunity to learn more about the Additive Manufacturing (AM) industry, and to discuss SLS/DMLS/LPBF with researchers on campus. Ultimately, I was able to conceptualize a full-scale prototype, fabricated on campus using custom designed fixtures and existing manufacturing equipment.
